What was the system of" dual power" ?

It was a system of dual power between the provisional government and the petrograd Soviets.


It has existed since the 1905 revolution and was made up of workers, mensheviks and socialists

Why was the system of" dual power" a failure?

It influenced a lot of things such as railways, factories and power supplies however the two voices were often contradicting and the provisional government were undermined by the Soviets

Why was the provisional government unpopular with the peasants?

After the March revolution peasants and soldiers returned and used weapons to seize land from nobility. Manor houses were burnt and wealthy people were murdered. Although the provisional government agreed with redistribution, they didn't agree with the way it was handled. They thought that it should be dealt with within the law
