Privileges and Limitations of rating: What can you do with the license?
Multi Engine (command)
- May fly as PIC or co pilot while operating under the IFR.
Privileges and Limitations of rating: Extra requirements for RNAV(GNSS) approaches?
A person who has a RNAV(GNSS) endorsement must no conduct a RNAV approach in IMC as PIC unless they have done 3 RNAV approaches in flight or in a SIM using a GNSS receiver:
- which is the same as that fitted in the aircraft OR
- which CASA has determined in writing is to be taken as being the same as that fitted in the aircraft.
What are the recency requirements for NVFR flights authorised by a CIR?
For Private/Airwork?
- 1 flight of at least 1hr duration at night within a year before proposed flight.
- 1 take off and 1 landing within 6 months before the proposed flight.
For Charter, Aeronautical Experience?
Aeronautical Experience required:
- 10 hrs X-Country flight time NVFR procedures including 2 nav exercises of at least 300nm or 3 hrs PIC or ICUS
- Each exercise must be greater then 100nm from departure aerodrome including 1 landing at an area remote from extensive ground lighting.
For Charter, Recent Experience?
- 3 take-offs and 3 landings by night within preceding 90 days.
- 1 fight of at least 1hr or 100nm or a check flight with an approved person within preceding 6 months
IFR and Approach Recency Requirements: What do you need to act as PIC under the IFR?
In preceding 90 days:
- 3 hrs instrument time instrument time (1 hour needs to be in flight or in an approved SIM)
- 1 hour dual (in flight of approved SIM)
- 1 hr ICUS (in flight or approved SIM)
