1. What kind of buildings does this codebook cover?
Detached one and two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses).
2. There is a list of things in this chapter that you do not have to pull a permit for, make sure you know what things are specifically exempt from permit.
You do not need to pull a permit for one-story detached accessory structures less than 200sqft, a fence less than 6’, retaining wall less than 4’, water tank less than 5,000 gallons, sidewalk/driveway less than 30” above grade, basic interior and exterior work (painting, papering, tiling, carpet….), prefab. Swimming pool, swings and other playground equipment, and window awnings that do not project more than 54” from the exterior wall. As well as some other electrical, mechanical, and plumbing expections.
3. What is the least # of building inspections for a new house. (Not asking about the electrical, plumbing or mechanical)
