This is how farmers identify a particular animal on their farm.

How do they know how to identify them?

There are different ways sucks as Branding, Ear Tagging, Tattooing, Ear Noching.

Branding

This burns or freezes a mark on the animal.

For Branding

You have to have the animal eating or standing still to do this type this is typically done to cattle.

Ear Tagging

This is where the owner or professional attaches a plastic piece to the animals ear.

A farm owner can do this but professional is better off but you have to have special pliers to do this to any livestock animal.

Tattooing

This is done by a professional, this tattoos a number on the animal .

This number can be done in ears, lips, or in other locations, where ever the farmer owner would like.

This is used to give an animal, usually swine, an litter number and a individual number.
