how the American War of Independence impacted on Australia.
Due to Imperialism, Britain used to have 13 colonies of the US (along the East coast). When Britain’s jails became overcrowded, they used to send convicts over (linked to slavery) to the US. In 1775, the colonies in the US, declared independence from Britain because the rebels didn’t want to pay British taxes and they weren’t allowed to trade with other countries. The war ended in 1783 forming the United States of America and was separate from the British empire.
For Conscription Arguments
- It was Australias duty to support Great Britain.
- Voluntary Recruitment had failed

- No person had the right to be sent to be killed or wounded.
