ABO blood group
Three alleles of a gene that determines which if any antigens are produced on the surface of red blood cells. Alleles A and B are codominant; O is recessive and means no antigens are produced.
Hemophilia
inability to control blood clotting.
X-linked recessive. Much more common in males than females

Inability to distinguish certain colors.

Klinefelter syndrome
In males, an extra copy of the X chromosome (karyotype 47, XXY). Usually causes sterility. Caused by nondisjunction of the X chromosome.
Turner syndrome
sterile females with only one copy of the X chromosome; no sexual development at puberty
Caused by nondisjunction of the X chromosome (karyotype 45,X)
