Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I have a question for all of you right off the bat. When was the last time you had a perfect chocolate chip cookie?

about it. Not a dry, brittle, tasteless cookie or raw undercooked sickening cookie; but a homemade chocolate chip cookie that was flawless

Never? Well, if that is the answer after this presentation you can change that.

A perfect chocolate chip cookie is not easy to make, but if you fallow these directions you too can be an A+ chef.

Before you start making the cookies you have to make sure of a few things. First, make sure you have all of your ingredients. *very important* you MUST let your butter get to room temperature before using it AND preheat the oven to 350 F.

Also, wash your hands and make sure you have “splatter protection” (aka. apron).
.
Here is the ingredient list.
• 1 cup butter flavored shortening
• 3/4 cup white sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups milk chocolate chips

The cookies will taste perfect if you use Mexican vanilla, but if you can’t find that at your local Spanish market, regular vanilla extract will work too.

First grease a cookie sheet and set it aside for later (photo). Next, get out a large bowl and a beater to begin mixing ingredients. The first things that you are going to mix are the amounts of butter, white sugar and brown sugar (photo).

Make sure you get that mixture nice and fluffy before adding the eggs, one at a time. Then, combine the vanilla, flour, baking soda and salt. Stir that into a creamed mixture (photo).

last (and most important step) is adding the chocolate chips (photo)
Use a spoon to evenly distribute the cookie dough on the sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown. The last step NEEDS to take place in order to insure perfection. Let the cookies cool for AT LEAST 5 minutes before eating.

Working in the kitchen can be very tedious and frustrating if the thing you are making doesn’t come out the way you wanted it to. However, if you fallow these instructions, you will be able to create perfect chocolate chip cookies every time.
