Fear-An HIV or AIDS affected person would fear losing their friends .They feel they have a shortened life span and it might make them afraid to even continue on with their life (Emotional effects of HIV and AIDS, para 2).


Shame-A person with HIV/AIDS could feel ashamed. The diagnosis may create embarrassment for the person. As a consequence the patient may begin beating themselves up about the results (Emotional effects of HIV and AIDS, para 3).

Short term:“Short term effects are diarrhea, headaches,and rashes creating uncomfortable circumstances for those around them”(Side effects, para 5).


Long term:“Long term effects would be body fat changes, such as in the face and other areas” (USVA. 2015, July 30). Then the infection would be apart of them and it is no cure so they will still feel uncomfortable around others(U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 30 July 2015).

According to a survey taken at GEC 43/48 (89.58%) participants say it would be very hard for them to tell their partner that they have HIV/AIDS. This graph shows the percentages and the three choices the participants had and what they had ended up choosing for their answer and it shows them versus each other .
