we don’t require precertification for inpatient hospice care for participating providers. Review the member’s benefits to see plan specific precertification requirements for nonparticipating hospice.

Confinements not required for pain control or other acute and chronic symptom managementConfinement days that exceed the Maximum Number of Days for the non enhanced hospice benefits.
