What is the purpose/ question?

What do you want to learn?

What is research?

Finding out as much as you can, getting the most information you can before you start experimenting.

What is a hypothesis?

A prediction to answer the problem: "If I...(do something) then...(this will occur)

What is an experiment?

A test or procedure to find out if your hypothesis is correct.

What is analysis?

Recording what happened during the experiment.

What is the conclusion?

Reviewing the data to see if your hypothesis is correct.

What is an independent variable?

The part of your experiment that you will test to answer your hypothesis.

What is a dependent variable?

What occurs in response to the changing of the independent variable.

What is the control?

The part if the experiment where you do not include the independent variable.
