I chose homelessness because I wanted to find out the main reasons to homelessness and the causes why.

introduction: in my research project I have chose the project of homelessness in young parents with children, and the causes why they become homeless.

to help me throughout my research I made a survey and I gave it out to adults who work or are in the homeless shelter, the rest was people around Redditch and in college.

by doing this survey I received a lot of answers helping me with my research, but throughout my research I became a lot of problems by missing out things I needed to find to make my research where I couldn't quiet find the correct answers so I used book and websites also journals to help me. this helped me find out the correct number of people who are actually homeless in the Redditch area.

to help me throughout my research I gave out a number of surveys to different people such as the homeless shelter also to people round Redditch to see if they knew anything about homeless on the area, also to people at college.

summary of literature review: in my research project I found 2 books, 2 websites also 2 journals that I used to help me throughout my research.

the first book I found was called ''homelessness'' this had given me great amount of help because it gave me the legal definition of homelessness and what are the main reasons of why people become homeless. it also had information on how it affects people in different ways such as drug abuse and other abuse, which I found it interesting to read about.

my second book was called ''issues'' which also had a legal definition and the main reasons why. this didn't really give me much more information than the first one meaning I had to go out to find more.

summary of preliminary review (websites): in my research I found lots of websites online, but there are only two websites that helped me mainly and had all the information that I wanted to find out.

the first website I found was '' the England shelter'' and I had information about an intuitional background, different family background also I found out the individual factors such as 23% for drug abuse I wanted to make sure this was true byseeing how many people became homeless by asking why they became homeless in my survey

this website also helped by giving me numbers of social services and people you can contact when you are young and a family to help you get somewhere safe to stay until you are stable such as ''Night stop''

in my second website It was called''barnardos homeless, it told you how people, and charity services like barnardos do help you by doing fundraisers to put more money into helping each individual also gives us numbers. this will also help you with living in insecure homes or accommodation this will also support them where there money id going.

research methodology: my topic I chosen was young parents and children I chose this because I was intrigued to find out about the situations people will get there selves into and the amount people will go through before actually making themselves homeless such as physical abuse.

in my research I found my information by using the information by using different martials such as books websites and journals this was to find out the reasons why people became homeless also the number of homeless in the UK. I also found out the main reasons why this was by using different materials.

I needed to find out more information to help me find out more information on why people became homeless to do this I handed out surveys to a homeless shelter also to people round Redditch and college.

ethical considerations the surveys I handed in and out of college was explained to them that the confidentiality would be kept, such as they wouldn't have to put down name or race. I needed the age and gender because I wanted to find out the different ages and gender to see if it was different between men and woman or weather young or older made a difference.

by explaining this to people it made them feel more comfortable and to give me the information I needed and would help me with my findings.

my findings: this chart shows me that more people was homeless due to drug abuse than to any other abuse but this also shows me that there was nobody with emotional abuse that was homeless out of the people who did my survey.

this chart showed that nobody in the Redditch area knew of anybody who was homeless or knew where to go when homeless or who they could talk to .

this chart shows us that more males than females became homeless this gives me the answer of more males are to take drugs but then it shows also females are more likely to physical abuse.

this chart shows that more family's are to become homeless than to go alone this Is because family can declare homeless once they have been kicked out of a home or been evicted.
