How did the Great Depression Begin? |
The Great Depression began due to the stock market crash in 1929. Most of society invested borrowed money into the stock market and then pulled out due to a scare. People lost their money, including banks. |

Why was racism and intolerance growing during the great depression? |
Because people were poor and desperate. So they began to rekindle old prejudice and racism towards Aboriginals and Blacks. They needed someone to blame. |

He established the Bank of Canada, the Wheat Board, and starting giving families relief (money) to buy necessities. |
