-Randolph/Farmer=demands for prez. to get AAs equal access to military jobs and wanted to end segregation in army and federal gov. Said he would march on Washington, but didn't have because FDR agreed to the 1st demand. Considered father of Civil Rights movement, Farmer founded CORE
-Zoot suit riots=Mexican-Americans young leaders subject to violence. Said they were stealing resources, jobs in war. Riots were mostly put down (response, improved housing and others) -Internment=term |
