To be nailed or tied to a wooden cross. It was very slow and painful because you died of suffocation because you couldn't hold yourself up any more

It threatened the Roman Empire because it says that it could start a new Christian kingdom and also wether or not romans are qualified to go to heaven

Constantine

He painted crosses on the shields as a symbol of trust and faith that god will win the battle with them. He is also the one who says christians may worship without prosecution

Essenes

These were peaceful Jews who didn't believe in fighting so they left society and lived away from it so they didn't get involved

Christian symbols

Bread and wine are blood and body of Jesus. Dove is Holy Spirit. The cross is early Christianity. Baptism is someone's complete trust and reliance in Jesus.

He changed what it meant to be Christian and went all over the Roman Empire spreading his message.
