Pituitary gland-
· controls growth, mental and sexual development, regulates puberty, menstruation, ovulation pregnancy and childbirth

How do you treat arthritis?
Investigate nature and location of the pain, start with cleansing the system, heat and massage with addition of herbal tea formula for rheumatic and arthritic conditions:
Equal parts of cornsilk, Shave grass, Broom blossoms and Boneset- steep 1 Tbs in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Drink 1 cup before meals 3 times a day.
What is, and how would you make garlic elixir?
Garlic elixir or Elixir of Good Health is powerful antiseptic, and aid in overall health.

1 cup of chopped garlic, 32 ounces of gin, 6 whole cloves, ½ cup liquid honey, 12 whole rosehips, 12 whole Juniper berries – mix all together, add alcohol last. Screw the lid on tightly and place in sunlight for 3 hours (or warm place). After 3 hours shake the jar and keep in a cool, dark place for 7 days, each day shaking the jar a few times.On the seventh day open the jar and ad fresh parsley juice.
Strain the liquid, bottle it, cork it and label it. The starting dosage is 1 teaspoon in 1 oz of cold water three times a day before meals.

How would you treat asthma and bronchitis?
First, cleansing diet for 7 days (avoid all dairy products- substitute with Soya or almond milk, refined foods, then stick with citrus fruits, apples, grapes, carrots, parsley, spinach, cooked lean meat and fish, cooked whole-grain cereals), take Garlic elixir 3 times a day then reduce dosage. Vitamins A and C are essential for asthmatic conditions. For sinus condition same procedures and add horseradish in diet.

Hot pot consist of 8 0z of yellow bee’s wax in the upper part of double boiler. Melt it and ad one pod of red capsicum and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain, cool to 125F . Part that will be submerged briefly into hot pot rub with olive oil.
It is used for reumatic symptoms.
Why do you begin with cold water when making a decoction?
Because if herbs are submerge in boiling water, albumin contained in the herbs will interfere with the extraction of other principles. so to ensure the complete exhaustion from herbs, water is heated gradually.
How would you treat a child with colic
Commonly used herbs are: Caraway seed, Chamomile , Anise seed, Fennel seed, Peppermint leaves.
Good tonic for colics _ ½ tsp Chamomile, ½ tsp Caraway seed, pour over it 8 oz of boiling water, cover and steep for 15 minutes. Strain trough a fine strainer. If infusion is too cold, it could be easily warmed up. A tablespoon of infusion sweetened with little honey can be added to the formula or best given in the bottle by itself. Repeat at least 3 times a day.

Describe how you would prepare a simple alcohol tincture
Alcohol tinctures are solution of non-volatile or partially volatile herbal substances , in liquids other than simple water, glycerin or eter. Alcohol is used as the main menstruum in preparing tinctures.
Cut or pound 10z of herbs, place in a bottle, pour in 10oz of alcohol, cork tightly. Keep it in room temperature for 7 days. Shake bottle frequently, after 7 days strain it and express as much liquid form the herbs as is possible. Add 4 or more oz of alcohol, use funnel and paper coffee filters for filtering the tincture.
