Prohibited herbs: croton seed (巴豆 ba dou), Chinese blister beetle (班蟊 ban mao), morning glory seed (牵牛子 qian niu zi), knoxia root (大戟 da ji), kansui root (甘遂 gan sui), genkwa flower (芫花 yuan hua), pokeberry root (商陆 shang lu), musk (麝香 she xiang), burreed tuber (三棱 san leng), zedoary (莪术 e zhu), gradfly (芒虫 mang chong).
Contraindicated for Pregnancy (Cautious)
Herbs given cautiously - those which remove blood stasis to restore menstruation, relieve stagnation of qi, hot property and pungent flavour, lowering and sinking actions.

- indigestion from deficient spleen and stomach avoid fried, greasy and sticky food
- suppurative infection on body surface avoid fish, shrimp, crabs and other fishy food
