What are shadows?

a dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface.A shadow is made when an object blocks light. The object must be opaque or translucent to make a shadow. A transparent object will not make any shadow, as light will pass straight through it.

What are some uses for a reflective surface?

Uses of plane mirrors : 1.) A rear view mirror in a car helps the driver to see traffic behind the car2.) Plane mirrors on walls make a room look bigger.3.) People use plane mirrors to check their appearances.4.)Periscopes are made of two plane mirrors which can see over obstacles such as walls. They are used in double-deck buses to help the driver to see passengers on the upper deck. Peri scopes are also used in submarines to see above the surface of the sea.Uses of curved mirrors :1.) Security mirrors in shops2.)Blind corner mirrors help drivers to see objects around the cornerUses of concave mirrors :1.) Used to reflect light into the microscope2.)A dentist's mirror magnifies the image of yout teeth3.)Car headlights have concave lenses to produce a parallel beam of reflected light from a small light bulb

What is reflection?

the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it.Reflection of light. Reflection is when lightbounces off an object. If the surface is smooth and shiny, like glass, water or polished metal, the light will reflect at the same angle as it hit the surface. This is called specularreflection.

What is refraction?

Refraction is the bending of a wave when it enters a medium where its speed is different. The refraction of light when it passes from a fast medium to a slow medium bends the light ray toward the normal to the boundary between the two media.

what is Binocular vision?

vision using two eyes with overlapping fields of view, allowing good perception of depth.Vision wherein both eyes aim simultaneously at the same visual target; vision wherein both eyes work together -- simultaneously, equally and accurately -- as a coordinated team.

what is Frequency?

the rate per second of a vibration constituting a wave, either in a material (as in sound waves), or in an electromagnetic field (as in radio waves and light).

What is Amplitude?

the maximum extent of a vibration or oscillation, measured from the position of equilibrium.
