In which states can convection occur in?

Gases and liquids but not solids

What is convection?

Convection is when heat rises from warm objects.

How does convection happen?

Gas or liquid particles are heated.

Because they gain more energy, they move further apart and become less dense.

This lead to them fussing, and cooler, denser particles will take their place.
