What are Nurse initiated interventions?
nurse-prescribed interventions resulting from their assessment of pt needs written on nursing plan of care. These are independent interventions
What are physician initiated interventions?
dependent interventions that involve carrying DR prescribed orders. Nurses are still accountable for dependent orders.
What is the purpose of the Evaluation step of the nursing process?
to allow the patients achievement of expected outcomes to direct future nurse-patient interactions. Nurse decides to terminate, modify or continue POC.
