What is Hardware?
A device which is connected to a computer that you can touch and pick up, e.g. Keyboard, Mouse, Digital Camera, Scanner.
What is Software?
Computer data that is stored electronically and not physically, e.g. Microsft Office. Also it tells the hardware what to do.

Application Software : Programs that you use to do something useful. System Software: Includes operating systems and different utilities to allow your computer to run smoothly.

Graphics Editors, Word Processors, Gamer Makers, Website Developers.

Disc Cleaners, Operating System, Disk Defrag, Virus Removers.
What is a PDA?
PDA's are handheld computers with facilities like: Personal Organisers, Internet Browsing, Emailing, Satellite Navigation, Document Editing. They can be rechargeable with no electrical noutlet.
What is a Mainframe?
Mainframes support hundreds of users at the same time. They use more than one processor so they can perform many jobs at the same time. Also they are used in large organisations/ businesses for processing huge amounts of data.
What is a Notebook?
Small versions of laptops, much smaller screens so detailed graphical work would be difficult, less expensive than other computers as they dont use components like CD/DVD drives..

Portable computers and are small enough to sit on your lap. Almost as powerful as a Desktop PC and can be used for the same tasks and purposes
