What is a Shaman?
Shaman means "master of spirits". He is a religious and ritual specialist and healer. He can change state of consciousness to communicate with spirits.
What are functions of shamans?
1)Community functions:
- Mediator between supernatural and community. Communicates to spirits for the benefit of the community.
- Healer: A shaman can diagnose an illness. He can visualise the causes and battle them through supernatural forces.
2) Personal/ spiritual: Religious awareness

1955: Prostitutes hired to pick up men and bring them to a CIA- financed brothel. They gave the men LSD with their drinks while White was watching behind two way mirror.
