What is the first thing you put your guitar into?

DI box

What cables run out of the first DI box and where do they go?

A 1/4" runs to the pedals, and an xlr runs to the snake (snake b in this case).

Where does the signal go from the pedals and what cable?

A 1/4" goes to another DI box.

Where shouldn't you put the guitar amp in live sound and why?

Don't put the the guitar amp behind the guitarist. The sound hits the back of their legs and effects the way they hear it. They will hear their amp at a lower volume. Your legs are getting the sound, not your ears.

How should you place a guitar amp for a musician if the amp is miked?

Angle the amp with a mic box so the sound is getting to the guitarist's ears better. You can put the amp right in front of the guitarist (not the audience) because the amp is miked.

Where does the thru of the 2nd DI go? Where else does the 2nd Di go?

To the amp, and to the snake (snake b in this case).

When vertical miking an amp, how close should it be to the cabinet?

An inch or so.

When miking a guitar amp, where should you place the mic.

Between the edge of the cone and the edge of the speaker. You usually don't want yo be on the center of the cone.

Can you Mic the back of a guitar amp?

Yes, when it's open back.

What kind of Mic might you use as an ambient for a guitar amp.

Large diaphragm condenser

Why would you run a guitar to the pedals and the snake?

So you can have a track recorded without any effects. One dry recording and one wet.
