A useful way to conceptualise this subject it to think about:
1)What crisis and crisis management mean to you?
Think about the sort of situations that commonly arise in peoples lives, and that may precipitate a crisis. These can tend to be about grief associated with a loss and the anticipatory grief associated with terminal illness.
Now think about some other specific situations that may precipitate crises that are probably less common. These can be about being a victim of violence to surviving a naturally occurring or person made disaster (eg. Cyclones, terror attacks)
