How GHGs Work
-Show how the process of GHGs entering the Atmosphere works Greenhouse Gases work by trapping heat in the atmosphere Sun’s radiation enter the Earth’s surface Half of the radiation, or heat, is reflected back into space Remaining solar radiation is absorbed by Earth Heat enters the atmosphere The buildup of heat in our atmosphere is largely responsible for the rising temperatures Earth’s average temperature now is about 59 degrees Fahrenheit Without Greenhouse Gases, it would be about 60 degrees colder, at a chilly -0.4 degrees Fahrenheit. --------------------------<---(---<-->->----- |

A major contributor to global warming is the burning of fossil fuels Fossil fuels have created and caused the hole in the ozone layer to expand The hole is big enough to allow radiation into the atmosphere Humans need to decrease the burning of these fuels |
