Prepositional phrase

Preposition shows location in time and is accompanied by a noun or pronoun that's the object of the preposition

Adjective phrase

Type of prepositional phrase that modifies a noun or pronoun it by telling what kind, which one, how many, or how much.

Adverb phrase

A form of a verb that acts as a noun and ends in -ing. Gerunds function as subjects, direct objects, indirect objects, predicate nominatives, object of the preposition, and appositives

A gerund with modifiers or a complement, all acting together as a noun.

Infinitive

A form of the verb that appears that the word to and acts as noun, an adjective, or an adverb.

Infinitive phrase

An infinitive with the modifiers, a complement, or a subject, all active together as a single part of speech.
