What are Voice Terminals (VT) and Remote Voice terminals (RVT)? |
They are touch screen interfaces, which provide the operator interface to radio Comms and intercom facilities. RVT's extend intercom functions of the VT, to weather exposed areas of the ship. They are connected directly to their corresponding VT, and their operating software resides in the VT. Hence the VT must be running, for the RVT to work. |
