Ceiling of at least 1000' above FAF and Vis of at least 3 miles or;
a ceiling of at least 1500' above the MDA and visibility of at least 6 miles.

Destination must have at least 2 seperate runways

The Canadians interpret the validity of the weather the same way. Improving is at the end of the time period. Deteriating is valid at the beginning.

The major difference is that Canadians do not allow the TAF report to be below required alternate weather minums.

It is to aler pilots of natural surface contaminants which could affect braking.

It is a two section report consisting of:

Runway surface condition and Canaian runway friction index.

Yes, because although there is a correlation chart available it clearly states that it is not a direct correlation and it may not reflect actual braking. Therefore the chart is advisory only.

Yes normal procedures apply and additionaly:

The jumpseater must be listed on the General Declaration and have jumpseat written next to the name.

They must be listed on the APIS form, so call dispatch for that.
