What is the function of Cellular Respiration?
The function of Cellular Respiration is to release energy.
What does fermentation do?
It releases energy from food molecules by producing ATP when there is no oxygen.
What is Glycolysis?
Glycolysis the process in which one molecule of glucose is broken in half, producing 2 molecules of pyruvic acid, a 3 carbon compound.
What is the process of Glycolysis?
Glycolysis breaks down a molecule of glucose. It transfers 2 ATP into 2 ADP. Glucose is now broken into two halves, and 4 ADP are transferred into 4 ATP. 2 NAD+ become 2 NADH, which goes to the elctron transport chain. The process of Glycolysis has been completed, with two remaining pyruvic acids.
