Essay
1. Identify and describe two major principles of Hinduism: dharma and karma. |
Karma is a principle that determines the cycle of rebirth. According to this principle, how a person lives their life determines what form the person will take in the next life. The concept of karma creates the desire to live a good life.
Dharma are duties that often belonged to Aryan males who belonged to each varna. Members of each varna were urged to do their duty. The concept of dharma includes doing what was proper for that person's age. This concept of duty affected every member of society. Dharma was very important in Indian life. |
