People decide to leave if there are limited job opportunities where work is low paid

Consequence of Emigration

Skilled ambitious people leave the country therefore there is a lack of skilled people to work as doctors or teachers for example

Farming to grow crops for yourself and your family

Farming to sell to another country

Why would a decline in subsistence as well as commercial farming result in a country to import food from other country?

There is no land available to grow food for the country. They would have to import food so the population wouldn't starve.

An outstanding loan that one country owes to another country or institutions within that country (also includes payments to international organisations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF))

How would paying 45% of taxes on foreign debt have an impact on people in terms of healthcare and education?

It would reduce the quality of healthcare provided. The population would become unskilled due to a lack of education

GPD

Gross Domestic Product. Wealth created by the country.

Poverty

A shortage of money and goods, usually measured in terms of average wealth and income of a country

Unemployment

Being without a job or work

Why is GDP higher on the coast compared to inland?

Trade and tourism. If goods are. Fought into then the first place they will enter the country is on the coast. Many tourists want to spend their time on the beach. They also want to shop, eat and drink

Tourism may impact the environment by:

Tourists arriving on planes that release CO2.


Tourists arriving on large cruise ships that damage the oceans with big anchors.


Sea food may have a higher demand disrupting the food webs.

Bauxite Mining

Digging a hole in the ground to remove bauxite

Bauxite Mining and Processing Industry impacts the environment by

Removing vegetation. This can damage habitats and could lead to animals becoming endangered or extinct.


Toxic waste can wash into ponds which can upset the ecosystems living in the pond which could damage food webs and food chains.
