what is weather ?
weather is the state of the atmospere around us at any given time.
what is climate?
climate is the average weather in a place - what the weather is usually like there.
what are the weather terms?
the weather terms are temperature, humidity, precipitation, cloudness, visibility and wind.
what are three types of cloud ?
three types of cloud are cumulus , stratus and cirrus
what are three types of rainfall?
three types of rainfall are convectional, releif and frontal.
what is releif rain ?
when wind meets a line of high hills or mountains, the wind has to go up , so the air rises and cools then we get releif rain.
what is frontal rain?
when a warm air mass meets a cold one the warm air forced to rise . so we get frontal rain.
how do clouds form?
all clouds form from water vapour. they come in all different shapes and sizes.
what are cumulus clouds?
fluffy clouds. they form low in the sky and can bring short, heavy showers.
what are stratus clouds?
big blankets of dull cloud. they hang low in the sky , and can cover it all. they can give a light drizzle.no real showers.
what are cirrus clouds?
thin wispy clouds. (oer 6 km up) freezing up there, so they are made of ice crystals. they can mean that bad weather is on the way.
what is air pressure?
all air above is pressing down on us , giving air pressure. if air pressure is low it means air is rising. if it is high it means air pressure is sinking.
what are air masses?
the air moves around the world in huge blocks called air masses. it can be thousands of km across. it can be warm or cold,damp or dry, depending on where it came from.
what is a warm front?
a warm front means a warm air mass is arriving.
what is a cold front?
a cold front means cold air mass is arriving.
what is migration?
migration is the movement of people to live and work in a different place.
what is a population pyramid?
population structure is usually shown using a population pyramid. it shows the popluation between male and females at different ages.
where did slave trade start?
slave started in europe.
what does sparsely populated mean?
sparsely populated means little towns.
what does isolated mean?
isolated means villages with no contact with other people.
what does M.E.D.C mean?
more ecominally developed countries.
what is birth rate?
the number of births per thousand people in population,per year.
what is death rate?
the number of deaths per thousand people in the population, per year.

the difference between birth rate and death rate.

the average number of years a person can exspect to live , from birth.

a less ecomincally developed countries.
what is a baobab tree ?
a baobab tree stores water in its huge trunk in the wet season. which helps it suvive.
what is a acacia tree ?
the acacia has small leaves covered with wax, to cut down water loss .
what are pastoralists?
pastoralists are farmers of the savanah. they are people who rear grass-eating animals for a living . they move with them to find pasture (grass to eat)
