What did people do about the urban decay?
Developers have done many years of planning and have transformed the area into a modern, commercial and residential district.

The aim to replenish an area and to make an area meet the needs of the community, be it economical, political, social or technological.
How has the population changed since the renewal?
At the time of the urban decay, there was <900 residents. The population was around 13000 in 2005. The 2001 census recorded that 46% of residents in Pyrmont Ultimo are born overseas.
