Afferent division
the portion of the PNS that transmits sensory information from the sensory receptors to the CNS
Autonomic nerves
nerves innervating smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, glands, or the gastrointestinal system
Autonomic nervous system
the portion of the efferent division that regulates the activities of smooth muscles, cardica muscles, glands, or the gastrointestinal system
