Battalion Chief will give specific statements to responding units via fire ground. The command van will assume all communications when they arrive on scene, they will notify the incident commander & OEMC of their location. They will announce on fire ground 4 and on extra alarms command 5 (chiefs operate on this channel during 2-11 or greater) |
Administrative channel 3 will be used as a secondary fire ground with multiple incidents are in close proximity, the incident commander will order all companies to switch channels |

The command van monitors Main, Englewood, Fire ground, administrative(3)and command(5). When on scene the 1st company will report company #, action, address/location, direction of travel, type of incident (rubbish, auto, ambo assist) |
DDC will respond to all still & box alarms as IC Progress reports will be given every 15 minutes until secured. Once under control reports will be given every 30 minutes Progress report shall contain, corrected address, # of stories, dimensions, construction, exposures, # of hose lines laid, primary, secondary and final search status, ventilation performed. |

A DDC’s aide shall report to the plans chief @ the command van to assist with duties A DDC responds to all 211 alarms & assumes command as IC Staging area should be located minimum 2 city blocks & up to 1 mile in extreme circumstances |
Consideration for staging area main streets, shopping centers, firehouses, schools etc. Exclusions include natural barriers ie. rivers, expressways, railroad right of ways. RIT reports directly to IC (side A) as a team unless directed elsewhere Sectors (sides) are identified by letters starting with A going clockwise. |
