The Fall of Man refers to events in the Garden of Eden where man and women were perfect and had a perfect relationship with God but

Eve was tempted by the devil in the form of a serpent to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Adam also shared the fruit. Both learned of the difference between good and evil and were banished from the Garden of Eden by God having broken their perfect relationship with him

Christians believe that Jesus’ crucifixion paid for

Their sins and that they should behave in a way that pleases God. However, they believe that people who live out of relationship with God will be punished and go to hell.

Evil created but not as a result of human choice, e.g. natural disasters.

The devil as a force of evil and tempts
|
Humans to behave in a way that is against God, e.g. Eve to eat the apple from the tree of knowledge

A symbolic way of showing how people often struggle to do what is right.

Experience freewill as otherwise he would be forcing us to love him.

Immature and need to grow towards perfection. This was planned by God to help us to learn and grow as individuals, e.g. if there was no wrongdoing there would be no understanding of justice.

Suffering is a test of faith and a punishment for the wicked

Example the story of Job in which he lost everything so that God could see whether he would remain faithful to Him.

Christians who suffer pray to God for help
|
e.g. Genelle Guzman when trapped in the rubble of the Twin Towers. Genelle believes that God sent a guardian angel to look after her until her rescuers arrived.

Suffering is part of God’s plan and will ultimately bring about good

e.g. by bringing them closer to God or encouraging them to comfort others who are suffering.

Our suffering brings us closer to God as we learn to rely on him for strength and support.
