Descriptive Adjectives |
masc: - masc pl.: -s fem: -e fem pl.: -es special: 1.) Adjectives that end with e do not take an extra -e in the feminine. 2.) 1.) When a name is given before their profession, the profession does NOT take the indefinite article: Mes parents sont avocats. 2.) When a name is given before their profession, but the profession in modified, then it MUST use the indefinite article: Mes parents sont des bonnes avocates. 3.) Alternatively, you can you c'est or ce sont (instead of he/she/they is/are), but you need a definite article Ce sont des (bonnes) avocates. 4.) Exceptions include: un(e) scientifique, un homme/une femme politique, un homme/une femme d'affaires. |
