Qui vs. Que
Qui functions as the subject of the subordinate clause and que functions as the direct object of the subordinate clause. Remember that que becomes qu' before a word beginning with a vowel.

Comparative adjectives indicating more or less
Adjectives are frequently used to compare things, people, events, ideas, etc. Plus...que conveys the idea of "more..than", "mois...que" the idea of 'less than'
Comparative adjectives indicating similarity or equality
Aussi...que conveys the idea of 'as...as'
Irregular adjectives
The adjectives bon and mauvais have irregular forms of comparison, meilleur and pire. However, the regular form plus mauvais que has become commonly accepted. Note that this irregularity is found in English too with better and worse (not gooder or badder)

Formation of regular adverbs
usually formed by adding -ment to the feminine singular form of the adjective. *gentiment is an exception. However, -ment is added to the masculine singular form of adjectives that end with a vowel. *gaiement is an exception. Add -emment to the stem of adjectives that end in -ent, add -amment to the stem of adjectives ending in -ant.
Placement of adverbs
Adverbs that modify an adjective or another adverb:
Adverbs are placed directly before the adjective or adverb that they modify.
Adverbs that modify a verb:
adverbs are usually placed immediately after the conjugated verb. If the verb is negative, the adverb is placed after the negation.
Adverbs that modify a whole sentance: if an adverb is a comment on the entire sentance, it may be placed at the beginning or end of the sentance. adverbs of this type include adverbs of time and place
comparative of adverbs:
comparative of adverbs: indicating more, less, or equality. Ex. "plus + adverb + que coveys the idea of more than. *Mieux is the irregular comparative form of the adverb bien.
superlative of adverbs:
indicating the most, least. Le Mieux= the best. Le moins bien/le pire= the least well
