List the basic differences between Thomas Hobbes and John Locke including their beliefs on State of Nature and Government.

* Hobbes believed that people should not have any rights, didn’t think social contracting was a two way street, believed in one ruler and a central government.
* Locke believed that all people have natural rights and were born with a blank slate, believed if people gave up their rights then the government should protect them, believed in three branches of government, along with democracy.

1.)National Government can’t tax the people. 2.) States created their own currency. 3.)No National Court system. 4.) No executive branch. 5.) No power to regulate trade among the states. 6.)Each state had one vote regardless of population. 7.) Two-thirds majority (9 of 13 states needed to pass a law.)
