Force
It may be defined as a push or pull which changes the state of rest or uniform motion or direction of motion of a body.
Balanced force
If the resultant of several forces acting on a body is zero, the forces are said to be balanced.
Unbalanced force
If the resultant of the several forces acting on a body is not zero, the forces are said to be Unbalanced forces
Inertia
It is the inability of an object to change by itself its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight.
Momentum
Momentum =mass x velocity
p =mv
Newton's 1st law of motion
Anybody at rest or in uniform motion will remain at rest or uniform motion unless an unbalanced force is applied ti change that state
Newton's 2nd law of motion
F=ma
Newton (N)
The S.I unit of force
1N =1kg m/s²
Newton's 3rd law of motion
Every action has a equal and opposite reaction.
Law of conservation of momentum
m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2
Friction
Whenever a body slides or rolls over the surface of another body, a force comes into action such acts in the opposite direction of the motion of a body. This opposing force is called Friction.
