What is force ?

Force is a push or pull on an object. Measured in Newtons

What is Inertia ?

The tendency for an object to stay at rest or in motion unless an outside force acts on it

More mass = More Inertia

Newton's First Law

Object at rest = remain at rest

Object in motion = remains in motion

Unless an unbalanced force acts on it

Newton's Second Law

Increased force = Increased acceleration

Newtons' Third Law

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The force applied = the object applied back

What's mass ?

Measure of how much matter is in the object

What's Weight ?

The gravitational force acting on an object. A.K.A. The force of gravity Fg

What is work ?

Transfer of energy

What are the 3 conditions for work to be done on an object ?

1. There must be movement

2. There must be force

3. The force & the direction the objects travels must be in the same direction

What's Potential Energy ?

Having latent or stored energy

What's Kinetic Energy ?

Energy due to motion

Law of Conservation of Energy ?

The total amount of energy in a given situation is constant
