Long Shots
Places considerable distance between camera and scene, object, or person. Establishes a context for action.
Middle Shots
See boy of person from waist up, melodramatic or romantic films.
Close Up Shots
Show details of a person or object, such as the face or hands, or a flower on a windowsill. Indicates character's feelings or thoughts or special significance of object.
Pan
Moves frame from side to side without changing position or axis of camera. Rotates as if character turning their head.
Dolly
Small, wheeled platform which camera can be mounted to gain mobility.
Track
Camera travels forwards, backwards, or laterally while mounted on dolly.
Three-Point Lighting
Standard Hollywood lighting setup, Situated to suggest three basic sources.

Rhythm
A recurring sound that alternates between strong and weak elements.
Loudness
That attribute of auditory sensation in terms of which sounds can be ordered on a scale extending from quiet to loud.
