The 11 General Orders
1 - To take charge of this post and all governement property in view

2 - To walk my post in a military manner keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.

3 - To report all violations I am instructed to enforce

4 - To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse than my own.

5 - To quit my post only when properly relieved

6 - To recieve, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers and non-commisioned officers of the gaurd only.

7 - To talk to no one exept in the line of duty.

8 - To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.

9 - To call the corporal of the gaurd in any case not covered by instruction

10 - To salute all officers and colors and standards not cased.

11 - To be especially watchfull at night and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without the proper authority.

A cheap, low-risk, highly effective way for weak nations, individuals, or groups to challenger stronger nations or groups and achieve objectives beyond their own abilities.

Terrorist operate in small secret groups w/ little interaction and tight central control held by a few individuals.

- each group may have smaller functional units that have command, intelligence, support, and tactical responsibilities.

- Terrorist operate with the good will and support of sympathetic foreign governments.

- Terrorist share resources, expertise, and save havens.

- Tactics and methods of operation may vary

Steps in reacting to a terrorist threat/attack
There are no preventative measures that will insure 100% protection against serrorism; but there are known measures to protect us from attack.

- vary transportation routes
- park in well lighted areas
-Lock unattended vehicles
- report unusual activities to local security
- avoid traveling alone
- travel only on busy, well travled thoroughfares
- take proper security precautions during travel
- attend periodic threat breifings & hostage survival training
- Avoid establishing a pattern of attendance at events
- keep a low profile and avoid attention
- seek knowledge of local situation
- be sensitive to possible surveillance
Ways to Protect yourself from Terrorist Attacks
Maintain a LOW PROFILE
- do not cause attention from your appearance
- blend into local environment
- dont go out in big groups

Be UNPREDICTABLE
- style different in clothing
- avoitd traveling alone
- change routines and vary route

Remain VIGILANT
- watch anything suspicious
-dont give out personnal info
- make yourself a designated area for secure refuge if being followed
- report any incident of being followed to mps and your command duty officer

Protect your AUTOMOBILE
- lock vehicle when leaving
- avoid leaving vehicle at open areas
- search vehicle for packages all around
Access
the ability to obtain knowledge of classified information
Classification
Official information that has a specific degree of protection against unauthorized disclosure, determined by an authorized official
Compromise
Unauthorized disclosure of CLASSIFIED INFORMATION to persons who dont posses clearance/authorizeation
Information
Any official knowledge that can be communicated or documents under the control of the U.S. Government.
3 Levels of Security Classifications
Is the classification sevel applied to information whose unauthorized disclosure could reasonably be expected to :

Top Secret - Cause EXCEPTIONALLY GRAVE DAMAGE to national security

Secret - Cause SERIOUS DAMAGE to national security

Confidential - expected to CAUSE DAMAGE
