Operations Chief
Responsible for North Shift Command, South Shift Command, Aviation, Emergency Response Staffing Office,All Hazards Incident Management Team and Safety
North Shift Command
One Deputy Chief and Captain on each shift. Deputy Chief is also the Shift Commander that report to Operations Chief. Responsible for Battalions 3, 4, 6, 8.

- Command Officer at large medical calls and structure fires.
Battalion
Consists of 8-9 engine and ladder companies. And 7-8 fire stations.

Aviation
Responsible for all aspects of emergency response at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. "City within a city"
Safety works with
Operations to provide risk management planning; station, equipment, and facility inspections; accident analysis and safety training. Also works with OSHA
All Incident Management Team
Consists of only Chief officers who can be deployed throughout the country to assist the Federal Government and other agencies in managing major disasters or incidents
The Human Resources
Oversees Personnel, Payroll, Labor-Mnagment Negotiations, Health center, Public Affairs, and Community involvement
Personnel Services
Manages recruitment, outreach programs, and promotional processes for Engineer, Captain and Battalion Chief

- Ensures compliance with Americans with Disability Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act along with Personnel rules and Administrative regulations and fire department rules and policies
Payroll
Makes sure everyone gets paid every two weeks
Health and Fitness division
Operates a full time Health Center to provide mandatory annual medical exams, injury evaluation, and occupational medical support
Human Resource coordinates with
Labor/Management negotiation process. Represents city and department contracts that last two years called a MOU
MOU
Memorandum of Understanding. Spells out the wage and benefit package.
Public Affairs and Community Involvement
Responsible for informing, educating, and training PFD members
