what is the fire triangle comprised of?
Fuel, Oxygen and Heat
what does the Fire Tetrahedron comprise?
Fuel oxygen heat and chemical chain reaction
what is diffusion flame?
most recognizable type of fire, as seen when lighting a match. Also the flames seen on a lit candle, campfire, forest fire, or structure fire. diffusion flame requires the presence of a combustible gas. when the flame is emitted it is the result of a combustible gas emitted by the burning material and mixed with oxygen.
what is the diffusion flame process
the gas, fuel and oxygen move into the reaction zone of the flame from opposite sides; once consumed, the fuel and oxygen combustion products spread out or "diffuse" from the flame.
what is spontaneous combustion?
Spontaneous combustion results when materials undergo oxidation in an environment that limits heat dissipation under this circumstance the oxidation process creates heat that is not adequately released into the air resulting in the heat remaining in the area of the reaction.
