Stair Phone (public) Provided only when the floors are locked out from the stairways. Phones can and should be used by the firefighters, if needed. When the phone is removed from the cradle, it will ring down to the FCC. if not answered, it will transfer to building management post or center telephone station. Phones will be located at not less than every fifth stair landing. Most buildings have phones at every 3rd floor.

What is capabilities and limitations of Purple K?
Known as potassium bicarbonate. Similar to sodium bicarbonate but, can extinguish twice the fire with the same amount of product. Most effective on Class B and C fires. It is also treated to be water repellent and free flowing. It is color coded violet to differentiate it from dry chemicals.
What is the capabilities and limitations of Foray?
FORAY is the only one of Ansul’s dry chemicals that provides Class A fire extinguishment. It is a monoammonium phosphate based dry chemical containing chemical additives, and produced by an exclusive Ansul chemical process. The resultant agent is free-flowing, water repellant, non-abrasive, and when used as a fire extinguishing agent will produce no toxic effects.
FORAY is yellow in color to differentiate it from the other dry chemical agents. Moisture may combine with monoammonium phosphate based agents in post fire situations to produce mild corrosion. Because of this, prompt cleanup is recommended. If the agent cannot be readily swept up, warm water may be used as a solvent.
What is the capabilities and limitations of Met-L-X?

materials, including personnel to operate the requested equipment for the
incident. This section takes on great significance in long-term or extended
operations.
What are the Responsibilities of the Finance Officer?
The Finance/Administration Section is critical for tracking incident costs and
reimbursement accounting. Unless costs and financial operations are carefully
recorded and justified, reimbursement of costs is difficult, if not impossible. The
Finance/Administration Section is especially important when the incident is of a
magnitude that may result in a Presidential Declaration. Each of these functional
areas can be expanded into additional organizational units with further delegation
of authority. They also may be contracted as the incident deescalates
What does Unity of Command Mean?
The concept by which each person within an organization reports to one and only one designated person.
What is Unified Command?
In ICS, Unified Command is a unified team effort which allows all agencies with responsibility for the incident, either geographical or functional, to manage an incident by establishing a common set of incident objectives and strategies. This is accomplished without losing or abdicating agency authority, responsibility, or accountability.
What is a Task force?
A combination of single resources assembled for a particular tactical need, with common communications and a leader.
What is a division?
Divisions are used to divide an incident into geographical areas of operation. A Division is located within the ICS organization between the Branch and the Task Force/Strike Team.
What is a group?
Groups are established to divide the incident into functional areas of operation. Groups are composed of resources assembled to perform a special function not necessarily within a single geographic division.
What is a Branch?
The organizational level having functional or geographic responsibility for major parts of incident operations. The Branch level is organizationally between Section and Division/Group in the Operations Section, and between Section and Units in the Logistics Section. Branches are identified by the use of Roman Numerals or by functional name.
