Explain reflexology, include a brief description of who was involved and where it came from.

Reflexology is a modality that utilizes reflex points on the feet that correspond to body systems, organs and parts. It was developed by Dr. Joseph Shelby Riley and Dr. Eunice Ingham. Dr. Ingham found that the reflexes of the feet were an exact mirror image of the organs of the body. She toured America conducting workshops, teaching the technique. She is considered the "mother" of Reflexology.

Explain Foot Zone Therapy, include the founder of the Foot Zone Technique and at least three ways it is different from Reflexology.

Foot Zone Therapy is a modality that utilizes signals on the feet that correspond to body systems, organs and parts. It was developed by Charles Ersdal and involved treating the body in its entirety (1), by following a precise map (2), in a specific order (3) which assists in bringing the body back into balance.
