Alliteration

The repetition of initial (beginning) consonant sounds. Used to create mood, underscore meaning, and enhance rhythm- like a tongue twister!

Allusion

A reference to a historical or literary person, place, thing, or event with which the reader is assumed to be familiar. Often comes across in a simile or metaphor!
