Class/Pharmacology
Class: Anti-arrhythmic

Pharmacology: Slows conduction through A-V node and can interrupt re-entry pathways through A-V node.
Removed rapidly from circulation--half life less than 10 sec.
Onset: 20-30 seconds

Class: Adrenergic, Bronchodilator, Cardiac Stimulant

Pharmacology: Synthetic sympathomimetic similar to epinephrine--potent bronchodilator.
Increased: heart rate, myocardial contractile force, myocardial oxygen demand, automaticity and irritability of heart
Onset: Immediate. Duration: 1-2 hrs

Indications: Bradycardia (rate <60bpm, systolic BP <90 and other signs of hypoperfusion) that is refractory to atropine, dopamine, and epinephrine.

Dosage: 2-10 mcg/min titrated to BP of 90 or HR >60 but <100 bpm.

Packaging: 2mg in 10mL ampules
Mix 2mg in 500mL (4mcg/ML concentration)
Labetalol

Class/Pharmacology
Class: Beta Blocker

Pharmacology: beta-blocking effects on sinus node, av node, and ventricular muscle lead to bradycardia, delay in AV conduction, and depression of cardiac contractility.
