Adult: 20-400mcg IV slow over at least 1 minute
Usual dose is 50mcg every 3 minutes.
Max of 400mcg (3-4mcg/kg) IV or IM

Pediatric 3mcg/kg IV or IM may repeat one time
Notes
Because Fentanyl has less of a hemodynamic effect on the body, morphine is the drug of choice for cardiac chest pain control and CHF patients.
