Section 158 – Surrender of Firearms

Where: • IVO or FVSN has been issued • MOPF is satisfied on the balance of probabilities that grounds exist for issuing a relevant notice • MOPF intends to serve, has served, an interstate order • MOPF is aware that the person has a firearm and/or firearms authority


Section 159 – Search without Warrant



MOPF may enter and search: • Any premises person resides/has resided • Premises where FV occurred • Any vehicle registered to the person

Section 160 – Search with Warrant (7-day life)



Warrant allows MOPF to enter and search: • Specified premises (including vehicles on that premises) • Particular vehicle located in a public place
